The Supreme Court of Dagestan on Friday for the fourth time try to proceed to a jury for the murder of the leader of the regional office parties Yabloko and candidate for State Duma deputies Farid Babayev, told the representative of the press service court.
The court had to deal with the formation of the jury even on August 5, but on the day at the meeting was not none of the invited candidates. The judge postponed the formation of the panel on August 15, but then came only six candidates for the jury. The procedure has been rescheduled for Sept. 8 - this time again was the six of the 350 invitees.
The attack happened at Babayev 21 November 2007. The murderer was waiting for him in the apartment building entrance, where the leader of Daghestan Yabloko lived with his family. Babayev received four gunshot wounds, and three days later, do not regained consciousness, died in hospital, RIA "Novosti".
The murder was committed during the electoral campaign - elections to the State Duma passed on December 2. Babaev was the first number in the Daghestan regional list Yabloko.
In the dock are charged directly to the execution of the crime - Rasil Mamedrizaev, confessed to killing Babayev, and Seferali Sefimerzoev, accused of complicity. Customer murder Babayev has not yet been found.
A decision on proceeding with a jury was adopted on 21 July at a preliminary court at the request of the defendants.
